The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation (www.bowwowbuddies.com), a Boulder-based national 501(c)3 animal welfare organization focusing on health, homing and humane issues for canines, invites you to participate in the first annual Project RUFFway benefit and fashion show.

Inspired by the popularity of TV’s Project Runway, this unique event will bring together a distinctive and prestigious mix of Denver’s most elite and stylish animal lovers for an evening of food, fun, music, fashion and furry, four-legged friends looking for their ‘forever’ homes.

EVENT PURPOSE
The mission of the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation is to promote the health and welfare of dogs worldwide by focusing on finding foster and lifetime homes for unwanted dogs, promoting humane education and treatment, and investing in research and treatment for dogs affected by illness and disease. The purpose of Project RUFFway is to serve as the official ‘launch party’ and fundraiser for the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, raising awareness and much-needed funds to support the organization’s mission, vision and programs.

Funds raised from Project RUFFway will support the three initiatives described below:

• Canine cancer research and treatment at CSU’s Animal Cancer Center
• Camp Bow Wow foster dog program, finding homes for more than 2,000 dogs this year
• Much-needed operating funds for the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation

EVENT ELEMENTS
VIP Reception (5:30-6:30pm)
From 5:30-6:00pm, special guests, presenters, VIP’s, hosts, sponsors, media personalities and other dignitaries will be invited to join a special VIP reception, where they will have the opportunity to network and receive special recognition for their participation in the event. This VIP Reception will feature complimentary wine, beer and premium hors d’oeuvres.

Runway Show (6:30-8:30pm)
Ten models will take to the ‘runway’, sporting custom hairstyles by Willow’s Boutique Salon and wearing designer outfits provided by local boutiques. Each model will ‘strut his or her stuff’ alongside a very special canine friend (also wearing a designer ‘outfit’) – a local shelter dog in desperate need of a loving, ‘forever’ home. Each canine/ model combo will walk the runway twice (with a different outfit each time). Models and their canine companions will then circulate around the room to meet the guests. The evening will also feature several video vignettes, guest speakers, and the presentation of the first-annual Bow Wow Buddies ‘Golden Paw’ Award. Event admission includes one free drink, hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.

General admission ticket $25 Includes admission to event, one free drink, and hors d’oeuvres VIP ‘Pet Pal’ ticket $100 General admission ticket plus admission to VIP Reception and one free Bow Wow Buddies t-shirt, plus recognition in event program, on Web site and annual report.
